Where will Gianluigi Donnarumma be playing next season?
With the astonishing news emerging from Italy surrounding Gianluigi Donnarumma’s future, Milan showed they would not be pushed around.
The club showed their strength by telling people the 18-year-old goalkeeper will not renew a contract that expires in 2018, meaning he will leave this summer or next.
“We are disheartened. [Donnarumma’s agent] Mino Raiola has conveyed to me Donnarumma’s decision not to renew. It’s his final decision,” club director Marco Fassone told a press conference.
If the talented and sought after keeper leaves next year then he and Raiola will be able to claim a bigger signing on fee, while any club wishing to buy him in 2017 will have to pay big money. PSG, Juventus and Real Madrid are the three teams heavily linked, but that hasn’t stopped other supporters hoping Donnarumma joins them.
Man United fans are probably happiest because, with the link to Real Madrid, it may mean David De Gea remains at Old Trafford…
